brian
What kind of riding are you planning on doing ?
rubberneck
What kind of riding are you planning on doing ? Critical info, How and where you ride will really determine what you want to do. Ive been down the cub all around bike path. Now im going back to stockers on the dune bike and building a drag bike. Hard to have 1 bike do everything great. Just depends on how you want to use it
locogato11283
how did you arrive at these two motors. they are going to be night and day different.
bbcmudtruck
I had a stock stroke 68mil cub and hated it. It would pull pretty good on the top, but it had absolutely nothing on the bottom. I just got a 4mil dune port stock cylinder motor that I like much better.
00tbanshee
if you are going to be dragging all the time build the cub.if not do the 4mil stock cylinder with like a dune port
Badasshee
if you are going to be dragging all the time build the cub.if not do the 4mil stock cylinder with like a dune port i ride the dunes, sand mountain nevada. i mostly hill shoot. right now i have stock jugs and stroke but my jugs r ported to much to get a 4mil. either way i have to get new jugs. so i didnt know if it was better to get some cub cylinders now and later on put a 4mil in it instead of buying new stock jugs and getting them ported again for the 4mil. i honestly dont know wat is the best bang for the buck or just the better option to go with. now wat do u guys think? Badasshee
if u hillshoot a lot go with the cub especially since u need new cylinders anyway yeah i talked to jeff i think his name is over at FAST and im just going to go with a 68mm bore stock stroke stage 2 ported cub.he said it will run pretty fast. and ill be able to throw a 4 mil in it later on. rubberneck
So jeff said you could use the stock stroke cub cylinders and put a 4mil crank in later?? I wouldn't have guessed that. They have such high duration ports as cast i wouldn't have guessed you could do that. Just to stir the pot a little, why not just do both right now?? Go to a 4mil x 68 cub. It will only cost you the cost of the crank. Everything else you need to properly run a 4mil cub you will need for a stock stroke cub. Just do it. 500 dollar difference. FASTOYS
yeah i talked to jeff i think his name is over at FAST and im just going to go with a 68mm bore stock stroke stage 2 ported cub.he said it will run pretty fast. and ill be able to throw a 4 mil in it later on. It will run very well but you can NOT run a 4mm crank in it later with those stock stroke cubs. Well you can, but i havent seen them run very well as said above the port durations are off! rubberneck
I figured there was a misunderstanding there. Man im telling you if you are going to go cub, just go all the way now 421 cub and be done

Man im telling you if you are going to go cub, just go all the way now 421 cub and be done dang that blows. well 1500 bucks is already alot and then another 500 just wont cut it then i still have to buy big bore pipes correct? i think ill just send my ported stockers to FAST and see if they can stll be ported for a 4mil.
