fitz18
How much does humidity affect jetting guys? Had the bike going again today with the 240's. Shee was running perfect. Plugs look a little black.
NitroTate
Still seems weird to me but hey if it's running good then great. I would still do a good plug check again just to be sure because if it's black and the plug check also indicates rich then you could lean out a little more and run even better as long as you are careful. And to answer your question about humidity, the higher the humidity the more air that is going into the motor which would mean a leaner condition than if it were really low humidity. 2 STROKIN'
the reason your mains are so small is because your highly restrictive lid is installed, and, i belive, the humid climate. this is why i suggested working down from 260. if you don't need a lid, i would remove it, provided you have the bolt-on airbox adapter for the k&n. if you do need a lid, maybey open up the passage a bit for better flow. the lid is one of the biggest factors in main jet size. and nitro- no need to be a dick. Learn how to read, dude. Tate asked normal questions to HELP!!
AKheathen
Yeah like I and others have said, throw some 300's or 310's in there and do a plug check, you won't have to worry about blowing it with those in there. sorry tate, this just came across wrong, and i was already tired and grumpy. did you know that i always get sucked into your avatar? now, i don't mean to be a dick, but humidity works the other way. higher humidity dilutes the amount of useable air, resulting in a rich condition

dajogejr
My opinion, it's going to be around 250 mains. Warm the bike up on old plugs, and do this: http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html If I were you, get a K&N Filter lid to keep MOST of the junk out, but allow it to breathe MUCH better. You'll probably have to bump up to 270ish once you either remove the lid or get a outerwear type lid to open it up. That lid is really restricting it. And as said, check float levels. A tell tale sign is when you come to a stop, it's overflowing out the tubes on either side of the carb.
