SonOfSand Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 I had 2003Limitedbanshee convert my YFZ 450 A arms to banshee A arms, using his custom spacers. I have to say the ride and stability is MUCH improved, I am using a set of Raptor 700 shocks upfront, they bolted up perfectly. The ride height is right on, with little or no sag, bump steer seems to be diminished. Total cost was 160.00 since I already owned my A arms and shocks, I might re coupe that when I sell my OEM A arms. I think this is a great alternative to after market A arms. Quote

bbcmudtruck Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Post up some pics! How long are the raptor shocks, eye to eye? Quote
SonOfSand Posted April 7, 2009 Author Report Posted April 7, 2009 160 for spacers? No, the spacers alone are 55, the 160 is for cutting the arms, noss tie rods, and the spacers. Post up some pics! How long are the raptor shocks, eye to eye? I will try and get some pics up later today or tomorrow, not sure how long the raptor shocks are, but they look longer than my YFZ shocks. I think they ride a lot softer than YFZ shocks. Quote

Thanks for the roundabout compliment on the arms. If you need to find a set of arms, I know a guy who can probably help you out, one way or another... Yeah, like SonofSand said, $160 covered the spacers, NOSS tie rods, modification AND shipping back. Glad to hear they worked out for you so good! Quote
peterlocal22 Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 def post some pics sounds like it worked out really well w the raptor shocks Quote

Ducman Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 What kind of extension do you get on either side, +2"? I already have a set o YFZ 450 upper and lower a-arms minus one lower a arm (bought a set to replace one dammaged one on my wifes bike). I'm also already running the YFZ 450 shocks. I might have to look into this. Quote
Quadatic20 Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 (edited) The full YFZ front end is definately the way to go....it is a BIGGGGG difference. **I used a +1 tie rod with YFZ arms/shocks/spindles&hubs** It is ALL YFZ up front.... Edited April 25, 2009 by Quadatic20 Quote
bansheeyfz450 Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 Where can you buy the spacers for the lower arms? I bought a set off a guy uppers,lowers,spindles,shocks,tie-rods, and came with gyt-r skid plate for $250, Then sold the skid plate on ebay for $60. I am going to start this project soon. I just need to order the 450 hubs and calibers. Quote
