Bogging in 5th and 6th gear

I had the Bansh out for a few hours in the trails hitting 1-4 and its running like a raped ape. I couldnt ask for better preformance. However I got onto an open road where I could max her out and as soon as I hit 5th gear its bogs down same thing happens when I put it into 6th. I have it jetted for warmer weather since I dident really ride at all in the cold season and it dident have this problem last spring/summer.

Here are the jetting specs for my Trinity 2:1 intake with a single 35PWK and airbox adaptor with a Uni foam Filter (Clean and oiled).

Im running about 1800 feet above sea level and the current temps are in the mid 50s low 60s

195 main jet

52 Piolet

Needel rite in the middel 3rd clip

Thanks for any tips in advance.

To tell you the truth Im not 100% sure and I cant find out untill I go up my camp again in like 2 weeks. It very well could be stock as I bought it used, changed the main and piolet up 1 size each and it rode through each gear beautifuly, no bogs anywhere, and the plugs were golden brown. I do think I remember Cody saying it is an eek but I could be taking that out of context from another Banshee I seen him working on with the same carb setup.

Im far from knowing close to as much about this setup as you but the way I hear you always say the stock needel is shit and baseing how well it ran after I changed the jets Im thinking it is an aftermarket needel just from what you say.

Could you give me a rundown anyway saying it could be the needel making it do that and assuming its an eek or dek. If its stock Ill just swap it out for what you think since Cody has them in stock.

if i remeber correctly, your main jet seems WAY too big.. i am running a 165 at 600 ft above sea level.. you should be using a smaller jet than me at your elevation (but engine mods will differ your jetting) IMO.. are you using a fuel filter?? what type?? maybe you are running out of fuel (sucking the bowl dry).. which could be from running a BIG main jet, a low flowing fuel filter, or using too small of fuel line?? i would cover those bases to start.. check the needle in the carb, the 2 into 1's are super sensitive to needles.. SNOP will guide your in the right direction on this one, listen to him, he has some good knowledge.. i use a EEK needle in mine , it runs perfect.

There is no such thing as a stock needle in a pwk 35 on a banshee. Because pwk 35's dont come on banshees. When you give out base jetting specs, you always need to include the needle size if its not a stock carburetor with a stock needle.

does it happen only at WOT or is it bogging at 3/4 then clearing out when you hit WOT?

if its happening in the higher gears, that tells me that it's leaning out. see, the higher the gear you get into, the more load you put on the bike. if it's not leaning out until 5th or 6th, then the extra load is needing more fuel and it's bogging out because it's not getting it. if it was super rich, it wouldn't run as good in the lower gears....

195 sounds a little rich to have no porting done, but it is what it is. get back to us with the needle. if it's bogging at 3/4 throttle then opening up, sounds like a needle issue. if it's only WOT, then you'll have to try a 200 or something.

as far as jet sizes, it's not very often but sometimes you come across a bike that needs a little bigger jet then others. my '01 bike was like that. most people were running 165s - 175s, I was running a 195/200 and when I ported, I went to 230 and it was still lean.... i got a much richer needle and it backed off to 210 but it always like the big jets. so if everything else is fine, go with it for now.
