98_shee
It depends on the oil your useing. I run Castor 927 at 40:1.
DallasGDub
BelRay MC1 race synth.....50:1 I use it b/c of the brand, and easy to measure. Just dump 1 little thing into a 5 gal tank. Never had a issue.

2003LimitedBanshee
Hey I am just wondering with the mods that I have what is the best Gas to oil ratio? Right now I am using 30:1 I believe. My response is always as little as is minimally required. You want everything to be fully lubricated or you could rob horsepower through added friction, but beyond that you are just robbing power as oil does not burn and produce power, it simply aids via reduced friction. Personally I run Golden Spectro synthetic/peteroleum (regular oil) blend @ 50:1 A ton of people lean towards 32:1,b ut I have run mine without problem at a much leaner ratio will no ill effects. Now, if you aren't running a blend or full synthetic in most cases I believe they all recommend closer to 32:1 or so.
liveordie72089
Oh never thought it mattered. I use Klotz R50 oil. I us it one as I never had any problems and 2 its smells great haha. So I might do 40:1 beings it was smoking a little more then usual.
04sand4
you can also use Amsoil dominator 2 at 50:1 or mix it at 40:1 if you like

Overboost
walmart brand outboard 2 stroke oil, 32.1 but I am soon switching to a better quality oil, synthetic so I can mix to a leaner ratio. and remember, your mix also depends on your jetting.. if you mix leaner oil, your jetting may be rich if it was "spot on" to begin with,,,vice versa if you jet it richer in oil

big papa
I see all these different oils and see many different ratios, how do you know you are doing what is best for your motor? Everyone has an opinion, but what are the signs if you are using too much oil, or not enough? I am 2004 stock, using Maxima semi-synthetic @ 32 to 1. Bottle says 20<>50 to 1 is okay... 40 to 1 would let me dump 1 small bottle into 5 gals of gas.
sredish
30:1 is too much oil.... i never go any more than 32:1 but that's only with Yamalube. Everything else, I never go over 40:1, that's my number, plus it's mix ratio is easy to remember; 16 oz bottle to 5 gallons, none of this part bottle bullshit.
