ASRBanshee
So for the summer I am looking to upgrade my stock carbs to aftermarket carbs. I have the Alien System and do mainly trail riding, and would like to know the best carbs for this setup/ size (mm).
vulvafan537240
engine mods? if its not ported, bigger carbs wont help much. 28's are the biggest id go with no porting.

RagunCajun
If you arent ported, keep the stockers. stock carbs are underrated. Edited March 29, 2009 by RagunCajun
Bansh-eman
If you arent ported, keep the stockers. stock carbs are underrated. I disagree, Stock carbs are old and outdated, even for stock porting and aftermarket pipes. There are better options. However if your looking at improving your power carbs alone are not going to elp much. You should look into port work, and pipes first. ASRBanshee
ok so I stay with the stock carbs. But ever since I removed the TORS off it, it seems as if it doesn't start without the choke on, even in 90 degree weather?
wacko2000
You can have you carbs bored out to 27.5, stockers are fine for you right now. Bore them out and bump ur timing to +4 and you will see a big difference. should only be like 80 bucks or so to have the stockers bored out. Building my First
ok so I stay with the stock carbs. But ever since I removed the TORS off it, it seems as if it doesn't start without the choke on, even in 90 degree weather? Is the idle higher than when the tors was on? Richen the pilot screws an 1/8 or 1/4 of a turn, that should help. Make sure the choke tube is on good too.
