What tires should I get

Recommended Posts

i would get the gncc's,, give them a try and tell me they dont hookup alot better than the razr2's, honestly.. the razrs are good too, but not as good traction and heavier , the gncc's are just as tough , ive had no problems with holes and ride on all sorts of rock and coal and shit, the only thing that sucks about both the razr 2 and gncc is the price, 87 for the gncc and i think even more for the razr 2, but those gncc's really do hook up great, anyone who wants a 6 ply tire should give them a a try

My buddy bought a Predator and it came with Maxxis Radials and they look similar to the stock 400ex and 250r tires that Loco posted a link for.He gave me the tires and they work alot better than i thought they would.I do have a shortened swingarm,so that helps too.As long as its not really loose gravel or something where its gonna spin anyways, they hook up good.

Sean dont let your boy the razr's for the YFZ, you cant compare them bc you like them on your banshee, I actually hate them on my banshee, think they suck for my application but, They are to heavey for the yfz, get a set of radial's of the original razr they are lighter.

Why isnt he keeping the stock tires anyways? would prob be the best bet.

Sean what knob tires have you ran on your banshee besides the razr2's?

they are good, they hook up well in almost anything, but they wear very quick they just puncture easy and fold under turns.

for the average person, they are fine

i disagree with 450 tires wearing quickly. ive got a ton of road riding time on mine as well as trail, sand and rock riding and they are in great shape.

i agree that they puncture easier than some other tires, but its not really bad.

I run 22" razr2s in the rear and 23" razr 2s in the front on a 450. They are HEAVY, but the extra ground clearance coupled with some really good skid plates is really a must for some of the rocky ass terrain i ride. Held up great so far. I got them to replace the stockers after a punched a hole in the side wall. Dont know if the new 450stockers are diff than the 04, but i havent punctured the razr2s yet in the same terrain. Could have been a fluke.
