NickisGod Posted March 19, 2009 Report Share Posted March 19, 2009 my mods are as follows, paul turner mid range pipes +4 timing on a 200w stator 39mm carbs on a crossed over intake dual exposed 12inc air filters coolheads vforce reeds runs on 5 gallons of 100 octane and a quart of yamalube it runs great but i had the setup tuned for t6 pipes, and i think i should change the jetting? what do you think? sredish Posted March 19, 2009 Report Share Posted March 19, 2009 you are probably close, maybe down a size in the main, but let me tell you, imo, those carbs are just plain too big. there are guys with +7 mill strokers running 35s fine and you are stock running 39s..... just not going to be very efficient. sredish Posted March 19, 2009 Report Share Posted March 19, 2009 (edited) hey, no need to get pissy, i didn't say anything snotty, you were asking for advice so I was helping out. reason I brought it up is because you are going to be jetting them and being that they're probably somewhat inefficient, they're not going to jet as consistently as say a pair of 28s or stockers.... i'd keep what you have in there, main jet wise and see how it does; should be close for a start.
