g- force axle help

Recommended Posts

i just installed my new axle but the way that nut is installed doesent seem safe to me lol! so the question i have is when the nut is installed its like this

1- slide that nut assembly up against the sprocket hub

2- slide on the c clip cover

3- snap on the c clip

4- tighten up the nut ........ how tight should it be?

5- then just tighten up the allan bolt install hubs and tires blah blah blah

the reason im asking this is because to me the only thing holding my axle tight is a c clip instead of 2 big jam nuts. it just seems strange to me that this could possibly withstand the beating it is going to get.

how tight do you tighten that big nut? and has anybody had any issues with it?

thanks ...

You should only have the circ clip and cover on one side. Then you put the nut on and the circ clip on the axle. No cover. The nut should have a machined lip that covers the clip. Make sure you get the right clips on the right side. One clip is slightly larger than the other.

The clips shoudlnt be able to pop off since they are coverd and not allowd to expand and pop over the grove.

I run on on my raptor and havent had any problems.
