We run silenced pipes on our bikes, because they supposedly check the noise in the dunes (again, haven't seen it in a long time)

The same sparkies I used on my T5 silencers back in the day work on my Shearer Silencers.

I know they make slip on sparkies for CPIs, too.

 

No one in the dunes runs stinger tube pipes...we're all used to the game.

Did you know spark arrestors were required to ride there? I'm sure you did.

Do I agree with having to use them? Fuck no....we have to use them here in the dunes at Silver Lake.

 

Just because I don't agree with the law doesn't mean I get to make my own choice to break it and expect no consequences.

I don't agree with spark arrestors period. There's yet to be a forest fire attributed to an ORV.

Last I checked...sand isn't very flammable.

 

So...our freeway speed limits are 70MPH. I think it should be 90...so I'm just gonna drive 90...then I'll not only complain about getting pulled over, I'll be a smart ass to the cops and get the whole ticket (20 over) vs. being nice, accepting that I broke the law, and getting maybe only a 5 over ticket or even a friendly warning.

 

Basically you're here complaining about having to pay 25 dollars to break the law....

I know, it sucks...everyone around you is breaking the law, they don't get caught....that doesn't change the fact you did in fact break it.

 

Come to Michigan...I think it's a 150 dollar fine. And they will get you every time. They check you before you even go into the dunes...

He was a clear case for the label of a dickhead cop.. There is ALSO a local cop here that is nothing but a prick and I hate his sorry ass to..

To get nailed for sparkies in the damn desert is 100% retarded.. Hell I didn't even know they were required there and thankfully never got dicked with.. When I was out there I rolled through a check point, told him right away where my registration sticker was and I was on my way, he was cool as shit.. In most cases I have always treated cops with respect and most have replied with respect and fairness.. I think in general allot of cops have a tough job and a thankless one at that.. All you guys making the general "fuck the police" statement kinda crack me up.. I say fuck the dickhead power tripping cops. In general though when it comes down to it when you go to call for their help I doubt you would be saying "fuck the police"..

 

Bottom line man, that really sucks to hear you were getting screwed with.. Nothing kills the fun of a trip faster than that type of shit.. BUT just be thankfull its a fairly minimal fine.. Oh but I will agree its straight up moronic you gotta keep calling, that you have every right to be pissed about!

 

Here at Walden I guess they are gonna start getting crazy about sparkies and noise.. Looks like Ill be going riding in Wyoming allot more..

Loco its like this I pretty much agree with you totally. GOOD LEO's don't care about..harmless underage drinking...seat belt laws....personal use marijuana..ect. If what your doing does not affect anyone else directly or indirectly, or put yourself in immediate danger..then why bother. I'm always looking for a meth-head or wife beater...murder or rapist ect. It just so happens along the way all the other shit falls right into my lap. I never put my vest on and decide today is the day I bust a underage drinking party. i wouldnt mind a ticket if i was breaking the law, but in all honesty, the only 3 tickets ive gotton in my life, are total bullshit, 2 by the same guy who had a hard on for me for some reason... nothing hurts more than having to pay a ticket you know you did nothing for while the cop watches and gets off on it. its sick. ve had to take it up the ass from several cops who have hardons for teenagers when i was around 18-19 , we have some real sickos for cops around here, total abuse of power, i could go on and on with some crazy fucked up stories that youd think i was lying... so in all honestly... you broke the law you knew was a law, you got a ticket, oh well tough luck, its gay but they are just "doin their job", at least they didnt jump your ass and arrest you and say you hit them .. trust me it happens , and it would cost u alot more time and money than your no spark arrestor ticket, it sucks, but in the big picture... not really

Guys the petty shit leads to catching the big criminals. I stop people looking for drugs, drunk driving and the petty shit gives me a reason for contact. I also have arrested child molesters, wife beaters, meth lab bastards who exposed their kids to the chemicals on what oh a petty shit traffic stop. Also major killers including Ted Bundy were captured on a petty shit traffic stop. There is a long list of major criminals were caught on petty shit traffic stops saw it on some training.

 

So cops stop you for small things looking for something bigger and if your an ass you get a ticket for the small thing.

 

And just like any other jobs there is going to be some guys who are assholes I have one at my dept. wish they would fire his ass. He can take a calm call that is all handled and fuck it up so I get in a fight. So instead of "FUCK THE POLICE" try fuck that asshole.
