Powder coating means you heat the part (has to be metal or aluminum and able to withstand heat) to 350* or sometimes higher , then you ground the part (grounds attached to the powder coating gun) and coat the part with the powder , stick it back in the oven let it cook 10-15 minutes and let it cool and your done . Fairly simple to do BUT you cant use your household oven , well unless you ever want to cook anything in it again ,lol .

ive been powdercoating for years you dont heat the part up first you just ground it powdercoat it and then put it in the oven you are talking about hot flocking and by the way you heat it to 150 if you are going to hot flock also it does not give it an even coat. that is done when you have a cheap gun and your trying to do a double coat or tripple and like i said it is not even.
