krss144 Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 (edited) Ray Vansteenkiste with MotorCity ATV I finally recieve my order yesterday in the mail. After sending you a check on 2/23/09 I started to get a little worried but my parts finally got here last night. I would like to start off by saying the pair of rear hubs fit and look great...but when I got done putting on my tires I decided to move on the the rear brake caliper that I ordered as well. What first came to my attention is that I recieved the caliper with only the brake line, no pads (which I thought to myself ok no big deal on that just use my old ones) but no bolt pins to hold the pads, no mounting bolts to attach the caliper to the bike, one of the bolts that holds the parking brake assembly together was in bad shape but I was able to get that off. So I quicky went down to the local Yamaha dealer and purchased the two brake pad bolts pins (=$12) and got back home trying to mount the caliper on the bike. OH I see the mounting plate that is suppose to move a little needs to be loosened, so looking at that bolt it is completey striped out. Looks like someone at one point took pliers to it after stripping the allen head out. NO way that is coming out nor being loosened. So now I am stuck with a brake caliper that I spent $80 on, OH wait when I talked to you on the phone 2/23/09 at 11:35am and I originally wanted the $75 caliper (that was on ebay through your company) but you told me to get the $80 one because it comes with the entire assembly, "You wont even have to bleed the brakes, just take the other on off and pop this one on and your ready to go" meaning lines, fluid holder and even the mounting bolts. The reason I ordered a rear caliper is because most of the bolts on the caliper that I already have are stripped out, meaning I was looking forward to recieving the new/used parts as an "ASSEMBLY" like you told me I would be recieving. If I would have know this is what $80 was going to get me then I would have just spent another 40 and ordered a brand new one from Yamaha. I would like to know what your thoughts are and is this what all MotorCity ATV customers have to looke forward to??? If you would like I can have pictures tonight, to frustrated last night. shanYE west Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Not taking anysides here (Dont even know Ray/Minkia38) but.. Probably should have gave the guy a chance to make it right first before you "call him out" and blast him in public. If you sent a check on 2-23, he didn't recieve it untill atleast 2-24. By the time he received the check it was probably too late to deposit it into a bank.. So it was probably deposited on 2-25. So that leaves 7 business days for your check to clear. If you got the parts on the 3-9. That means they were probably shipped on 3-5 or 3-6. So that only leaves 3-4 business days for your check to clear. Thats pretty reasonable for shipping time. He can't control how long it takes for the check to clear and I wouldn't ship parts out until the check has cleared myself. I just wanted to point out that the slow shipping wasn't really that slow. krss144 Posted March 10, 2009 Author Report Posted March 10, 2009 Well, this is not normal. I will gladly fix the problem. I had one of the shop hands take it off the bike and ship it to you. To make up for it, I can ship you another caliper, and ill include an aluminum parking brake block off kit for free for the troubles. let me know again, I am sorry for the problems, I wish I would have taken care of it myself.... Ray This is the service people love and will come back to again and agin. Thanks Ray. Quote
krss144 Posted March 10, 2009 Author Report Posted March 10, 2009 I was not complaining about the shipping date, he told me from the first day I talked to him on the phone that it would 5days after he cashed the check and I believe he even sent it out a few days before that. Quote

tidos76 Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 I have yet had the oportunity to deal with motor city atv, but i have inquired about parts a few time. I have always gotten quick and professional responses. However If anyone has a problem with ANYONE. I feel that the issues should not be brought up publicly until the issues has been completed. good or bad the buyer or seller need to contact the other and try to resolve the issue. then it can be made public. I wouldn't want to get bashed about something i could have fixed. buyers/sellers reputaion is hard to gain but easy to loose. Quote

madjimmax Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 I guess this is true but if you took the banshee completely apart you should know whats good and not good anything with that description should of been thrown away as soon as it was removed. Now if you plan on selling it any way you should be honest and let the people know what its really about I think people do this just hoping that the person wont take the time to mess with    returning it . Its nothing like waiting for a part so you can go riding and when the part finally gets here it aint worth a shit. Only saying because I've been there done that. But you should give him the chance to make it right before bashing him.Thats what feedback is all about you dont have to be a dick just more honest then the seller. Not trying to piss anybody off just my 2 cents.   Quote
