Loc
Has anyone done a write up of how different modifications will affect the performance. I know each bike is different and results will be different. I am just wondering because I am wanting to keep a reliable bike. I want to know how far I can take it before it becomes more of a drag bike. I see alot of banshees where I ride and most of them stick to the sand drags. Is there a specific order you should do the mods to maximize the performance. Edited March 8, 2009 by loc

278
Well its going to depend on how much you ride, but banshee's are pretty reliable you can mod them out quite a bit and they'll still be reliable
Loc
I use the search alot. It works well when looking for something specific. I am looking at a large range of things so it was not working the best. I should make a post for what works the best to get sand out of my vagina. Loc
I am looking for an all around bike. I ride mostly in the sand. I have Bills Pipes and that is it. I want to be faster than everyone of my freinds and their piped Raptor 700. I just want to make sure I am putting parts together that will help and not hurt. I dont want to just throw it together with no purpose. I hope this makes since to people.
shogs
If your looking to make a nice all around bike i'd do the following. Pipes, spot on jetting, timing advance to plus 4, cool head with 20-22cc domes depending on your elevation and what not. I'd say 21 or 22 with regular gas. Right there thats about 200-250$ invested since you already have pipes. Those seem to be the basic mods people like to do. Timing is safe and helps with low end, and a cool head keeps it cool and bumps compression a little. A billet impeller wouldn't hurt in the dunes either. Just keep looks out of mind when money is tight.
Fireroad Express
might as well get a good trail port while your at it.
RagunCajun
port job. none of this trail, mx drag port crap. Talk to a builder and decide what port is best for your mods. Just dont say durrr i want a trail port. IMO that's too generic. Get the most bang for your buck.
