I was running this other banshee this past weekend 1/4 mile marked There happened to be a Radar so we clocked our bikes my bike hit 86 and his hit 89 but on the 1/4 mile I would take him about 3 to 4 bikes? is it my bike has more torque?

like they said there can be numerous variables. not only torque and hp, but gearing, weight, tire size, everything down to your alighnment can cause a bike length difference. I was racing someone on my f4i at a local drag strip. both were 600's. I would win even though i had to shag speed at the end to stay under 120mph(nhra rule for no leather pants). i would cross at about 118. she .....yes she would cross at over 125. Its all in the launch with most racing.

mods don`t matter if you tree him. you won the race at the start. the holeshot won.

Yeah my bike has a nice hole shot tru story it was the first time I actually race my bike I had never been in a race before

Had the bike two years but just did trail riding now I got into this racing bug can't wait till I do a rebuild and get serious with it.

drop your bikes to the floor by replace the shocks with pipes and drill them out the the arms sit strait, then cut your front fenders off ('race cut). pick up a little , and tuck yourself way in...

check your tire pressure, pump them up alittle (change your ratio and little less traction) ... you wanna try and spin alittle so you dont bog down

your bike will leave like a prostock car when its droped ... in the street the tires will spin and you will be gone .... but at the track it will still hook because of all the rubber on the track .. play with the cluch...

if your in the 80's mph you are probly near 50-58 hp range

one of my old bikes had different sprockets, stock pistons, pipes, jetted, milled head, timing kit, vforce 3's , kn pods....no porting we had 86-87 mph in 1/4 ,

if your going to be dragging it , make sure you have it on the rich side or it will burn up .

just some info from the few times i went there with my old banshee 4 years ago ..... hope it helps

Yeah well i got dissapointing news about my bike i dont have the mods that i thought i had for example i thought my head was cut and its not, my timing is only at plus 2 and my carbs are not jetted correctly i am running super rich.

The bike spins all of first but i think it has to do that im extended to +4 and that kills my traction but i dont want to drop my bike with pipes i rather buy the shocks and my fenders are cut in the front, and the back ones i remove them when i race all i do is pop off my seat and they come right off.
