dave5.0
Not an expert but I thought they were PWK Air Strikers. Air Strikers came after the original PWK. How come I keep reading about people upgrading their plain PWKs for Air Strikers and getting better throttle response and all that other crap? quadgod211
yea there diferent.....the airstrikers are quad vented so they let more air in or out,,,i dont think there needed in drag racing just mostly motocross for the jumping and throttle response..... Tedder
Airstrikers are PWK's with a couple of improvements that were supposed to benefit Motocross racers. Only difference is that they are quad vented and have little "wings" cast in to straighten and direct airflow at lower throttle openings. b-nasty
Back to my question. Would they be good for a drag bike. thanks
shanYE west
I've seen people have some problems trying to tune the air strikers..... If possible i'd stay with the original pwks. If you know where to look and are patient.. you can pick up a set for cheap.
dave5.0
I just got my set on and running. It's not a dedicated drag bike but I do it a lot. I set them up exactly like my 34PJs were. It feels pretty close as it is. Hopefully I will run the crap out if it tomorrow and do some dragging. I think they will do ok though. Did you get a deal on a pair or just looking to get a set? RadarRacing
Tedder hite the it right they are the same really, but usually are a little diferent as far as pilot jet needs but over all they work fine. A 35.5mm airstryker jets slightly different than a 35mm pwk and some dont try to jet it differently. My strykers needed a mainjet size about 2 sizes smaller than a 35 pwk due to the carb flowing fuel thru it slightly better but made power.
