This answer is all about preference.

Where will you do most of your riding?

If you are going into the mudbogs or coal beds, or even high mountain riding at very high altitudes, then the Banshee is not for you.

If you just want to screwm at the sand dunes, then a stock Banshee may be ok but a modded Banshee is much better.

Out in the open, There is nothing like a Banshee.

If slow gut wrenching torque is what you need, Get a large CC Utility ATV.

I prefer to scream all over the place . I love my Banshee so much that they will have to shoot me dead for me to sell both of mine.

One wasnt enough....yes I have two for me only.

Sure mine are just a stocker and one with T-5 pipes on it, but I could care less.

There are many faster 4 stroke bikes. Like a Rapter 700 can take a stock Banshee in a longer race, but I wonder how it would do in the dunes????

If you like that unnerving burb of a 4-poker then get yourself one.

Its funny that Yamaha has been making this same model for over 20 plus years and hasnt changed a thing hardly at all.

Thats because its bad ass.

If you want a real mans ATV, get a screamer like a Banshee. Its the ultimate man toy, that can be modded in the garage in the winter away from the bantering of the wife, and built up with bigger , faster and cleaner assessories and parts.

It will then smoke any other ATV out there once you get it modded out real good.

There is no better time than now to own one, pretty soon you will not be able to find one stock as they will all be modded out....lololololol

banshee = wide open trails, straight line racing and dunes

4stroke = tighter trails and mx

HUH?

Banhsee = anything/anywhere you want to ride.

I ride my shee in a variety af shit from mud/rocked out 4x4 trails to wide open logging roads, pit riding and dunes and does great in all aspects.

the banshee to me is the best, now i happen to have a 421. but i think that has to due to my CSD (compulsive stupidity disorder). :banghead:

now can you mod a fourwheeler like a banshee. yeah, you can mod anything if you have the money and the know how.

and from what my boys spend to mod there four strokes compared to the shee. the shee is cheaper and easier.

just like rollins said is all preference.

i mean shit i use my 421 to trail ride. i'll put it this way.

5 gallons of race fuel and premix. $60

421 cub. $2000

icy/hot because stoke suspension kicks my ass. $6

the rush :woot: i get from 90hp and the look :verymad: on my 4 stroke friends when i blow by them at 1/4 throttle. PRICELESS

thats my mastercard moment. :whistling:

Banshees are bad handling slow turds in stock form compared to anything new 450/700 they have out today. Our aftermarket is what keeps us quicker and alive.

If i didnt ride ride open all the time in my back yard, id own a 450 or 700. I've ridden a few people's a lot and i love them. The low end TQ is nuts but i dont like the lack of pull when you hit 4th and 5th. The new bikes also feel much more solid. It's hard to explain but everything just works better. But i wouldnt trade my shee for one. And a cub set-up cant not be compared to a regular 4 stroker come on now lol.

How much work is involved to make a 450/700 pull decently hard in 4th and 5th like lets say a mild ported shee with t5's on pump gas?

Ok now that it is a new year, i was wondering is he banshee still the fastest quad out there. like can u sup up another fourwheeler like u can a banshee.

I think the only fourwheeler that compares to it stock to stock is the yzf 450

yes banshee's still number 1

never said you COULDN'T ride them the same places you could a 4stroke, just meant that a 4stroke would be better because of the torque. you COULD ride a 4stroke in a straight line and the dunes but it wouldnt work as well as a banshee (IMO).

if you want to buy something thats fast right off the showroom floor and you dont plan on putting another dime in it to make it faster, buy a craptor 700. but if you really want to shake and bake, buy a shee, put a few grand in it and kill every 4poke out there.

you'll probably wind up spending less money on a radically modded shee than a stock 700r.
