nuc_welder
Ok well I mic'd my cylinders today, they measured 2.545" which converts to 64.643mm, so I would need to buy a set of 64.50 pistons right, if not what size do I need? bama boy
You can get 64.5mm pistons which are .30 over. Thats what my banshee is. If your clearances are too much then you prob need to get it bored. Thats just my 2 cents. Still kinda new at this but I do know that much. twizted269
you can take it to any shop and they will measure what it is on check if it needs a bore. they should do it for free.
toolman
You need a bore guage to check your cylinders. You need to measure 3 places the same direction as the piston pin and three places 90 degree's to the pin. This will give you the taper of the cylinders and tell you if they are out of round. Clymers manual spec,s Taper limit .05mm or .002 in. Out of round .01mm or .0004 in. I have also been told you should not buy pistons to fit cylinders because each pistons is different. You should buy pistons and have the cylinders bored to them.
nuc_welder
Well I've been looking at pistons on ebay and I seen some M&H pistons on there half the price of wiseco. Anyone run these before or know if they're any good?
