black sunshine
i was just wondering about how much horsepower im producing with the mods that i have. 1998 banshee, play/dune mid ported cylinders and cases, crank trued and welded, cool head with 20cc domes, 27.5 pilot, 330 mains, stock carbs, kandn filters pods, +4 timing plate, fmf sst exhaust, v force reeds, 32:1 klotz mixture. whatcha think???? Sounds like you stole my bike! Never had mine dynoed, but it likes to rip lugs off the rear tires.
blaster2006
there was a guy here who posted his results. he had max HP at 40.28 or 40.5, he had pipes, reeds, K&N filter, cool head 18cc domes. so yeah i dont think it would be over 50hp... i think the only thing you got extra is the mild port and +4 timing Edited March 3, 2009 by blaster2006

badshee1998
Albert , you already had the answer why did you need to ask? 60-65 hp range It doesnt matter what it "dynos" it matters how it runs in the real world. I have rode 70hp bikes that got beat by 58-60hp bikes and the 60 hp bike was MUCH more fun to ride (better torque curve). I would dyno it at Little Sahara. was just seeing what everybody elses thoughts were, thats all...nothing wrong with that.

RIPPEN
that port work and +4 timing is a BIG difference! Not to mention I think the bike he is refering to was dynoed at 5,000 ft + instead of around a 1,000.. :: :: :: RIPPEN
TPhillips
with those stock carbs I would say 50-55 TOPS. I had a play port with stock carbs that made 57 hp with the stock carbs, then had Jeff look at the cylinders and turn them up to his play port, which felt alot stronger. So I dont see any reason why you shouldn't break the 60 hp mark.
