bansee fever
OK it might be a dumb question! whats the difference? different compression , sqishband,? just wondering I am running alky with the same domes i ran gas with and my builder " a very reputable one" says they are fine! do you notice a big power gain with them?......thanks
dajogejr
You can tailor power characteristics to a certain extent with dome shape and size, generally speaking. Methanol and gas have two different explosion characteristics, they also burn at different rates and temps.
sheefreak
A good example of what Dave is explaining is an extremely talented builder will cut a dome different for a 300ft setup compared to a 1/8 mile setup and it will make a big difference. The gas dome will work, and motor may run well, but not as well as it could....
