run
IndianapolisBuck, First, I don't know what's going on and I don't want to speculate until you reply. But if you're selling your Banshee to help a family member in need and doing this benefit ride then it doesn't make since to be buying a $4,000 quad. Please explain. I've had a lot of people PMing me asking about this and some are already backing out on the donations. Here's the thread I'm referring to. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry995221 Regardless to the outcome of all of this, I'm still riding and the ride is on. Whoa now......lol. I was just seeing how low he would go on it to help some others out..I'm one who is tired of always seeing overpriced quads, so thats all that was. I actually bought a Banshee for 1600 today (T_shee can verify, as I borrowed his trailer to go get it) I sold my Banshee for $2200 about 3 weeks ago, and gave ALL that money to my uncle and the family. T_shee can verify that I sold it as well. We just got our first time homebuyers tax credit back, and I was able to pick up a Banshee. I did not want to sell my 1st shee that I had, but they needed the help at that time. I actually JUST walked through the door from going to pick up the Banshee I just bought. It costs about, 30,000 just for treatment, and I thought a benefit ride would be a great way to raise some more cash for the family, and have a good time with the HQ members. That's pretty much all there is to that one. I'm not sure what seems "fishy" about it, but I could have his doctor write a letter to the HQ confirming he has the cancer? If you guys want to can the whole benefit, that's 100% not a problem at all! Just let me know! I still plan to attend, camp, bring pop and chips...etc. Sorry it took so long, but I had to go to the Ohio line to get the Banshee. So, it's TOTALLY up to you guys! Let's vote...........Benefit or just ride? Edited April 29, 2009 by IndianapolisBuck
run
Adam. Do you have a camper or anything? I only have a single cab truck. Ill probably have to drink enough beer to put me asleep. I'll have the SUV...seats laid down...a few people can pile in there..lol

JasonsBanshee
did you see my post above? Yea, honestly I don't think the Benefit will be a success. We were trying to save your Banshee by raising money for your family. You sold it and bought another so that really defeats the purpose in my opinion. My feelings are, if money was that tight you wouldn't have even bought one for $1600. I'm just going to be riding. I do wish your family the best of luck and I'll keep them in my prayers but I vote to just do the ride. No hard feelings, I'm just doing what I feel is right for me. I actually sold it, gave my family the money, and picked this one up today when the money came through. But I understand what you're saying and I'll vote to just ride as well! That way there is less to worry about, and plus people have no worries as well. I had a great time last ride, and plan on having a great time this go round! I REALLY REALLY appreciate you guys even coming up with the Idea, and also for the prayers and everything! The only thing is, I dont really appreciate how you post made me look like I was making it up, and it was a fraud. Cancer is a SERIOUS SERIOUS disease, and coming from someone who lost BOTH parents to different types of diseases (mother= meningitis, father=heart disease) I would NEVER joke about something like that. Especially now that my uncle has cancer. Other than that, no hard feelings AT ALL!! Again, I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers, and I hope that you guys continue to keep him/us in your thoughts! Cant wait to RIDE!!! I actually just noticed how you smeared my name all over another thread too, and there were 8-10 members who posted after that who now think I'm some kind of con artist or something. I would have rather you pm'ed me or something rather than ruining my reputation on here in one post. I'm not too sure why you did that, but I dont appreciate that at all man. I have no problem at all with not doing the benefit, and I dont know if I did not explain it good enough before, so I will again. My uncle got cancer a little while back, I had put my Banshee up for sale during that timeframe. Then the benefit ride came about, and that was great idea. It was all about raising money to go toward the cost of treatment, and etc. NOTHING was coming to me. This was for them. They were having a rough time, and then a guy came to look at the banshee. He wanted to buy it, so I went ahead and let it go (knowing I could get another one in the same price range, before the benefit) I GAVE the $2200 to them, and they did what they needed to, and used some for a treatment. I got my regular taxes back, and picked up a decent shee, fairly cheap today. I'm married, have a job, a son, a kid on the way, and I NEVER said that I, MYSELF was EVER hurting for cash, I said they were, and I was doing all I could to help. I've gave them a little over 3k total, and was going to give them what I could from the benefit. So, I do not understand how that came about, I thought we were raising money for my UNCLE and his family...not me? I stated in the very beginning, that this was a benefit to aide his costs, and it would be fun to do an HQ benefit. Here is my original post when I first brought it up.....I NEVER said I was "hurting" and I also said my shee would remain for sale, until things were final. "As some/most of you know I had a family member that has been diagnosed with cancer. I automatically put my Banshee up for sale, in order to help out with treatments. Most will be covered, but I know a few wont, so I want to surprise my family by helping! A few members indicated that they would be down for a benefit ride. After thinking on it, I wanted to start this topic and see if there is really any interest at all. It wouldnt matter to me what you could donate/spare as it would go to a GREAT cause, and I would get to keep my Banshee. We could possibly make the "Haspin Trip" the benefit ride if you guys would like. If everyone is interested, that would be great! I'm trying to raise around $1800 total for him. If we do this, I would have a jar or whatever and like I said I wouldnt care if you put .05 in there or $50 in there, every little bit gets me closer to the goal, all with keeping my Banshee! Until we finalize everything, my Banshee will remain for sale, so if there is any interest in it check the for sale section. Thank you, and GOD BLESS." - Page 4 of this thread As I said before, It's totally cool to not do it, but doing what you did to my name...and making me look bad, not cool.
