JasonsBanshee
Also, You should contact Haspin to let them know what's going on. You should explain everything to them that we are planning. I'd do that asap to see what they think and to see what if anything they can do to help. run
Went to a bunch of businesses today, and I have to fill out forms on the websites. Not many seemed to interested. But, with the Drag shootout, split the pot, donation jar, and lunch I still think we'll raise some cash! I'm not tanking the auction idea yet, just have to make sure that we get enough items. And after some pm's and etc. the benefit ride is 100% on. Haspin is supposed to call me back about getting involved with it as well. It's going to be a pretty fun weekend! Misssppelllleddd
An update on the rotors and pads. I still have to search through all my spare parts but I'm sure they are still there. I also ordered them for a 87 shee if that changes anyone elses mind cuz i believe that they changed the front brakes on the shee in 1990. I know they changed the calipers but I dont know about the rotors. And the rotors are solid. No holes. I think I may also have a set of rear pads....but let me check this weekend when I get home. run
4/13 UPDATE: It seems no businesses are interested in donations, so whatever parts we get from members I will conduct a small raffle/auction around the time we are having lunch and put the money in the donation jar. There wont be a formal auction. So this is what we're looking like right now. This is what we are looking like right now, and my aunts work has come onboard because whatever BANSHEEHQ raises, they are going to match it!!!! the goal for this even is $1000. If we exceed it, GREAT! But the goal is $1000. So far: Events (for sure) 1. Donation Jar - Will be placed at my truck and members/people can put in whatever they can spare or want to give. Since we're at Haspin, it will be locked. 2. Drag Shootout - $20 Entry (1/2 Payout top 4 and 1/2 to benefit) 3. Split the Pot - $2 per ticket (1/2 to winner 1/2 to benefit) 4. Lunch Plate - NO COST HQ members are all bringing different items (food, grill, drinks, meat, chips) 5. Raffle for items (100% to the cause) - only about 10 items from members Items we have: We WILL auction these off!! Powdercoated Clutch Cover (courtesy of sheerider 1026) Various Metal work (courtesy of 87sheerips) 22cc coolhead domes (courtesy of AWR) Brand new pads/rotors (courtesy of Misssppelllleddd) Set of Stock Pipes (courtesy of scottzimmerman) Events: (possibles) Once we get conformation on these events, I will update the list to FOR SURE events 1. Banshee Dan 17. scottzimmerman- "committed to the cause" 18. 87sheerips (possible) "committed to the cause" I think with the drag shootout (with 20+ members and possibly open it to non members), split the pot, small auction, and of course the donation jar, I think we can bring in the goal of $1,000!
