sheerider1026 Posted March 25, 2009 Report Share Posted March 25, 2009 sucks about your bearing crapping out. man you shoulda made it to the badlands last weekend it was a blast. have you got to get after with the cub much yet? be really neat to see your shee and some of the other fast ones we will hopefully attract. im gonna enter the drags but just for the cause, basically ill donate my 20 bucks but even if i only last one round it will be worth it. yea, i wish i would have went. but i had plenty of work to do around the house and all.. yea, im definately bringing the cub up to haspin, i just got home and im fixin to crack it open, thow those new bearings in, and get this bitch back together.. i hope these 4 snows give me some decent traction, i haven't been able to make this thing hook anywhere.. either way it will be a blast for sure.. Money got tight so I sold the 2002 that I bought new and built up. I took a few years off and when money was good again I bought my 2004. Family is more important, do what you gotta do man. Hopefully this ride can help you out but this really needs to be pulled together if it's going to produce any money. We need WAY more donations. I don't think 6 items is near enough to do a silent auction. At the benefit that we did for my Wife's Uncle we had like 300 different items. Some items were small $5 items like a haircut to a full blown 10 day vacation in the Caribbean. With that being said, you don't have to stick to quad related items only. Gift cards to restaurants, hand made items (like if you know someone who can make some corn hole boards and bags) and anything else that you can get donated really. It'll all get bids. Your main goal would be to sell the raffle tickets so the better your items the more tickets you'll sell. Companies generally are glad to help out, What we found is the majority of companies we called had a monthly allowance for donations which a lot of times go un-donated. I'm really looking forward to this event, it will be such a big help. We have 16 commits and thats pretty good. I wander if Haspin would like to get involved? Maybe donate some entrace fee certs or etc. I went to Southside Harley here in Indy today, and they are really considering donation. I am going to go out on saturday and hit as many businesses that I can. I've been working a lot so it has been tough getting out. Anyone else is welcome to do the same! I'll have a fully updated list for the auction come saturday night. I'm going to let them know we will advertise the hell out of them up there (which is why I wont be riding at all, even if I still have my bike) I'll be running all this stuff. Jason, are you going to beable to contact any businesses at all? Thanks a ton to BansheeHQ and all the members for agreeing to do the ride and stick with it!! I cant wait!
