J-WELDO
I went to sand dunes this weekend and did a little drag raceing.Bike was runnin great was spankin the yfz 450's and the shees im sure they were stock shees.I met a guy running a new 700r he said he had done tons of engine mods (stroked, piped all thet good stuff)The guy said sand trax of Tulsa had built it and it dynoed 84hp.I raced this guy at least 10 runs or better, I had a bad launch on the first run and he smoked me.The rest of the times if I didnt shift perfect I would just barely get him.I definitly believe this guy was pullin 84hp.I think if I changed my gearing that day I would of tore him up.But thats besides the point that thing was strong.Have any of you guys seen a 700 that fast? Please post, vids would be cool. okbeast
Yes they are very fast. With just a pipe/filter/programmer they can handle a ton of the bikes at the dunes. I've got a buddy building an 804, should be interesting.
wacko2000
I ran a few of them that where stock and I WASNT impressed but i Heard that they turn into monsters with just a few mods so who knows. I think Jeff @ F.A.S.T has a bad-ass 700 if im not mistaken.

Unless jeff has done something to it here lately his badass one is the older 660. His 700 is still farely stock i believe. Could be wrong though, i havent talked to him in a while about it. sleeper06
When my bike was mild I went to a local spot,my bike beat everyone except a piped 700r,I couldnt beleive how bad hewas walking away from me!!!!!!
RadarRacing
The 700s can be really strong. They get a huge advantage with the torque they put out a 70- 80 hp raptor with 60 - 65 ft lbs of torque will run with a 90 horse and 50 ft lb tq banshee. I think with the right setup and a 4 mill cub you wouldnt find many raptors that would beat you tho. There are a few that ride at LS that run very well. SLORYDER
Meh When I had my 730 V-force in Wyoming (7,000ft) and I was jetted for sea level I was still spankin on the piped 700's pretty bad. And the v only had approx. 60whp when tuned perfectly. I can't wait to line up with some with my little 10 mill at the Clash.

I dont think my cub has been ported.I dont know much about it and dont know what to look for, to see porting. What i'm trying to say is when I bought my cylinders from phil's cycle in El Reno OK,He told me they had a good port job done on them and handed them to me,I didnt see anything different.Thats sounds stupid and I'm new at this, ive always ran stock cylinders with pipes and a few bolt ons. I have read about porting and understand how it works, just dont know what ported cylinders look like.Anyways is it possible to buy a new set of cub cylinders and they already been ported, or do you have to send them off? okbeast
They come setup pretty much for drag racing with the port timings, windows, etc. But they can be ported some to gain a few more HP.

My buddys made 58hp at Sand trax and it had all the bolt ons, power commander, pipe, etc... It ran really well with piped and some ported banshees, but not cubs... Where in OK did you go.. J-Madd
I wouldn't be afraid to race any stock chassis 4 stroke on my stock chassis 421 Cub (with the exception of 3 DS650 based bikes.) That said, the Raptors do run pretty damn good. Mine is a turd, but It needs the correct fuel map programmed into the PCIII, I think. Haven't ridden it in almost a year. What did the DS 650s Have done to them. We had about 6 of them in our camp. all street bike motors and one stock motor with turbo and nos. 1 busa motor 1 750 and the rest 600. You dont even want to mess with the 600s. Even they were insane. We have vid of my freind on his busa ds. Gps said 112 mph and still in 4th gear. Wacko can vouche for me. Insane bikes. I want one!! And I'm talking about 300 ft on sand. Only 3 in the country that I'm aware of that will run sub 4.0 in 300 ft. Yeah, I probably wouldn't want to mess with a busa, lol. I saw a turbo busa in a DS chassis go 3.7s with a 240 lb rider and he had to clutch it--no override!!!
