lokisbuddy
Can I get a tranny that has the neutral down and have that be the only mod done to it? I don't want no overide or anything I just get sick of missing second and hitting neutral.
FadedDreams
Have you tried a modded shift star with neutral back cut?It wouldn't hurt to try that if you don't already have it done.At least its a pretty cheap mod to have done. sheerider1026
yep, a modded shift star should help you.. i also grind down the spring on the detent arm to make it a wee bit weaker.. my trail bike shifts great.. but my cub would never shift under full throttle, so it got a dunable overide.. try getting or cutting the star, it does help. lokisbuddy
^^ Yeah but on the shee its not a matter of pussy shifting because I can hammer it upward from first and sometimes when I pop the clutch it just screams and dont go anywhere So I look like an ass till I correct the problem. I will take the shift star out soon and ship it to you. will it have any negative effects? sheerider1026
no negative effects at all.. i cut the star in my trail bike, did the one in the ole ladys banshee, and my buddys shee.. they all shift a lot better..
2001Stroker
Why don't you just grind it yourself? Like sheerider said, it takes 5 minutes.

If you are rolling and you shift it up all the way, it should click in. If your adjustment is off, it may not be letting you get full range out of it. Shift star is easy. It helps to go by a photo the first time though.
okbeast
Also make sure your shift shaft is adjusted properly. Any stock bike should be able to shift fine.
boneyardbanshee.
yep thats what I was refering to. With it in neutral, the "hooks" should be evenly spaced to the pins on the star.
2001Stroker
I just did this earlier tonight to my shift star. If you missed it, here's the thread with a pretty big picture. You can't screw it up. It's almost impossable. This is the first one that I've ever done. Hope that helps. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry951943
