Thinking about getting new carbs. How much of difference do aftermarket make

Was thinking about getting bigger carbs. What size would you guys recommend with my setup below? Can I use my stocks intakes and airbox boots? And if so how large can I go with the stock intakes? Are 28's even worth spending the money over stockers?

Are 28's worth the money as stock ones are 26? It looks like pwks go from 28 to 33. There isn't anything in between. I thought I'd seen someone mention 30's.

pretty sure you can taper bore the 28's to be 30's.

There are some chinese knock-offs called OKO, check e-bay. They are basically keihin 28 pwk bored to 30 mms. Or you can probably get the keihins bored out if you are afraid of copies...have no experience on the OKO

Bigger carbs really dont provide enough gain for the money until you go with a bigger stroke or like a cub set-up and what not... Like I said the 28's will work perfect, but for the money they aren't really worth it

haha well that was 800 canadian dollars, so i guess like 500 - 600 american, but it comes with the manifolds and 2 k and n filters w/ outwears, i was tempted to get it. i was thinking about big bore later down the road, i guess i figured i could run the pair of 35mm pwk carbs until i got the engine done up? would that work? and what do u recomend for a big bore, or i was thinking about getting the stock engine bored out and get light weight pistons, whats a good thing to do to make her BOOGIE!!!

i wouldn't run those carbs on a stock motor. i don't think big bore motors are all the great, most people around here stroke them. look around the site, it has all the info you'll ever need and if you don't see something just ask.
