quikshee
Sounds like you have a bad seal somewhere, your losing coolant pretty quick. Jetting would have nothing to do with your antifreeze dissapearing, and stock jets only come in increments of 10 not

From your mods list, I don't think you are super lean with a 310. If you can find a 315 main, let me know. You need to first see if th head is leaking. that is easy enough to figure out. If you are not running a burp bottle off the rad, it is normal for the rad to lose a little on the top but it will find a "happy spot" and stay there. If you keep losing it, and can find no leaks, You might want to look at the inside of the radiator for flow issues or blockage. If your rad cap does not build pressure, water on the hot spots of the engine can steam up, cause gas bubbles, and vent out. Pressure is there to resist boiling basically. Something to look at. killshee
cap is good and making pressure ... the coolant is coming out of the two lil hoses of the left side of radiator witch one goes down to that T shapeed peace buy the impeller and the other goes to the overflow bottle ... the coolant is coming out of one of those hoses or both i checked the head its not leaking, unless its just a junk head... i got a new gasket and re torqued the head to 10, 20, then 22 ft lbs like the previoulsly tould me to do and put in a pro des. impeller i would think it would almost have to be jetting the first time i noticed it what coming out of the overflow line the rad was half emty .... now its only like a 1 inch low ... were about is the happy place? i only rode around for about a hour im at about 800ft and its resently has gottin about 20 degs warmer when i got the shee it was winters so should i try the 320..... sry about the 315 lol

locogato11283
sounds like something is pressurizing the coolant system. you shouldnt be losing an inch of coolant. youre positive that your head is on good? its not sucking into the cylinder? no white smoke from the exhaust with a sweet smell? you dont have any coolant in your tranny oil? jetting is not likely your problem. sounds like something is pushing the coolant out. killshee
the head could be shit i have my stock one on right now idk how could i tell i have a coolhead but im waiting for the studs and o-rings to come in the mail should i just waite and try that..... looks like the normal smoke to me and no sweet smell and i just put in the impeller it didnt look like there was coolant in the oil i wasnt over full or brown or anything looked like normal old blackish oil

blowit
bump Not sure what else to throw at you. You either have a leak somewhere or youfail are boiling cooling and it is steaming out. Another thing to check is the plugs on the bottom of the cylinders. If they fail, it is common for the base gaskets to leak into the crank case. Either way, you would be smelling it. Fatten the jetting I guess and see what it does but you generally have to be dangerously lean to cause overheat like you have quoted. killshee
yes everything is connected corectly i think the head it just shit bc its deff not danger area if its lean its only buy maybe one jet size and all gaskets r like 2=3 monthes old bc i just rebuilt
swrbansheeboy
dumb question but... do you have the choke crossover tube installed between the carbs? that will cause it to run hot and boil over. also if the head gasket is bad then re-tourqing it wont fix it, you need to clean it up and install a new head gasket...
