SAVAGE420
Go grab your self some Real polishing compounds. http://www.caswellplating.com/buffs/buffing.htm Read on there what each bar is for and go from there, but i always get a kit with all the colors so you can do a variety of things. I usually use the brown and then some white when i polish my pipes back up and other things too and the shit comes out looking like chrome. Then get your self a nice loose cotton wheel and a spiral sewn cotton wheel and go to town on the parts. The shit works wonders, give it a shot. You can pick the bars and wheels up at a variety of places. Edited February 14, 2009 by savage420

SAVAGE420
It takes a lil time and elbow grease to get it to shine be patient and it will shine. What colors are you using ? Also what are you using a bench grinder style or angle grinder setup?

SAVAGE420
Ok ive heard some people complain that a 6" bench is a lil under powered...maybe that's why it's taking a long time, My 8" is 2HP and works great  I think most 6" are 1/2-3/4hp. I say just keep on it and it will proly take some time with a 6".

Bill
It takes time to get A good polish, I use the rough cotton wheel with the brown and then the soft cotton wheel with the white. Don't be afraid to really push the part into the wheel, just make sure you got A good hold of it lol.
sheefreak
Need to build some heat. Once you start to build heat, you start to lose the black marks and get shine...
