blaster2006
everytime i search clutch covers for banshees on ebay, all i see are those stupid billet ones.. (im talking just about the circle thing.. that you replace for look for example.. something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-BANS...%3A1|240%3A1318. what if i only want the circle part to be see-through (transparent)? the only transparent ones are the full clutch covers with the water pump etc and lock up clutch, can someone tell me where i can find a see through one just the circular piece to change for looks? if people sold those it would make LOADS of money... locogato11283
even if you get a transparent one, youre not going to be able to see anything with a stock clutch cover. thats why they dont make them see through.
vulvafan537240
the full covers with lexan clutch covers are for a lockout clutch. you can buy the lexan piece from direct drive
AKheathen
you have to cut the stock cover, and seal the shit out of it, if you have the tools
peterlocal22
you need a lock out clutch cover like mentioned above
blaster2006
great.. ive never really understood what a lock up clutch does other than just.. i mean keep it safe so it does not slip? is that all it does? if it keeps the clutch from slipping, why doesnt everybody have one.. like a must have, instead of everyone having pipes etc. or is it only for heavy modded bikes? and is the lockup fairly easy to install? bonbon
It's only needed in higher horsepower bikes, and is a big hit for drag racing. Basically it puts extra pressure on your clutch pack and keeps it tight together almost instantly when you get off of the clutch. There is not a lot of slipping going on if any at all. I like to be able to slip my clutch personally, but may go to a lockup when I get my new motor together.
tundish2800
most people who have a lock up run an override trans. Its mostly for drag racing.
twizted269
even if they made the clear center caps, you would still have to cut and trim the material behind it. it is still solid after you remove the center cap. i have one made up like that but havnt used it. had an extra cover laying around and said why not? still unteasted for leaks though. JasonsBanshee
I made mine 4 years ago and I never had problems even I do some hard shit with the shee  First , cut the stock one and I use a 3/16" plexiglass and take the same 3 bolts to tight it and put a silicone joint , my cover has never leak with that method... Hope this help you Banshee_Bandit
