Rebuilding Stock Crank

Recommended Posts

You wont be able to rebuild your own crank. You would need a bearing puller, press, and the ability to true the crank once its put back together. 99% of the people out there dont have the access to these tools and/or the ability to do this. Im one of those guys that does everything in my own shop and doesnt let anyone else touch my rides, but I still send out my cranks to the local shop for any work I need done to them.

IS there a tutorial on rebuilding your crank....I froze a connecting rod bearing and need to rebuild the crank.......any info???

I think you can probably buy a new Hot Rods crank for close to what it would cost to rebuild one. I had a stock one rebuilt a few years back but don't remember what it cost. Almost as much as a new one if I remember right. With the right connections you might be able to find someone to do it cheaply enough.
