mfred_2000
Alright, I have seen on here how to bolt the a-arms off a yzf450 to a banshee, now what about the swingarm? I am fortunate enough to have like new Arams, shocks swingarm, spindles, axel ect off a 450. Basically I have the entire front and rear ends. Does anyone know if this will work? At first glance, with a rough measurement, it appears the width is the same at the pivot. It would be kinda cool...if I can get it done without cutting my frame and re welding it or something major? Anyone try this before?
278
I havn't heard of it, Im pretty sure your going to have to do a little chopping and welding though

Natemills8
YFZ swing are in alittle longer I think & heavier It might work but the way the YFZ bolts up more like a blaster the swingarm blot goes through the motor and as you know a banshees dont so even if you was to there your swingarm bolt would be getting rusty, & really dirt. If might work but I wouldnt wanna try it you might & might get it workin but it more trouble than its worth.
FireHead
I am pretty sure this doesn't work without a ton of fabrication. You're better off buying an aftermarket arm.
Natemills8
Are you wanting a extended swingarm or are you just wanting a project?
mfred_2000
Well.... I honestly thought it would be a neat project. I don't really want to get into a ton of fabrication, it seems pointless to do that much work when I could get an aftermarket swingarm. I just wanted to pick your brains and see if anyone has tried it. As for the parts, I think I'll put them on eBay, its just easier than haggling, that is if I don't use them. I am still throwing around using the A-arms. IDK...I am thinking I would just do a trade for a 450 and be done with it...lol don't tell, I love my shee, have never ridden a 450, but I hear they're insane...
