what size domes for what i have right now if you know and what does a timing advance do can it really give more horsepower

what is your elevation? what fuel are you running? the timing is set back so that you can run the lowest grade fuel, and not detonate, but some of the burn is wasted out of the exhaust. igniting it sooner allows the burn to develope more by the time it's used for the downstroke. on the other hand, if too soon, it can detonate and cause serious damage. the majic number seems to be +4 for most, and is one of the best power per doolar mods. the plate is like 35 bucks, and i've never heard anyone complain.

Need to know your elevation. A cool head, and timing plate will really wake it up. Also may consider gearing it too.

Why u guys always suggest a adjustable timing plate in combination with a cool head ?!? does setting the timing plate to +4 affect the heat within my topend ?!?

Just wanna make sure that I don`t blow up my Shee since I changed timing to +4 but haven`t got a coolhead mod really...

cheers lads ;)

it will run a lil bit hotter but you can increase ur compression with the cool head. timing and compression are cheap ane easy mods to do. and they are good mods to start with b/c ur gunna want them anyways when you get more involved with your engine mods. and these mods are very adjustable and compatible with future mods

I just installed my noss cool head with 20cc domes at 1200ft in elevation and installed carbon tech reeds and a timing plate at +5, i am running 93oct and man what a difference! oh i also changed over to shearers from t6's ...... i wish i would have added 1 mod at a time so i could feel the power difference but oh well

If you still have your T6, put them on...try them.
