KaosBanshee44 Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Your guess is as good as mine, i've never seen that before. Quote
shee4speed Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 some type of brush guard for your brake and shifter levers. Is that for shees or utility quads? Quote
dragbanshee Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 If you ask me, has the same effect as the boost bottle. NONE! Quote
lokisbuddy Posted February 7, 2009 Author Report Posted February 7, 2009 (edited) they said it will fit almost anything I just want to see how it mounts I am hoping it is to prevent the lever from bending under the quad (have had that happen and it sucks) I just want to know for sure and see pics of it lol I wouldnt buy one though i would make one looks simple enough (read the reviews) Edited February 7, 2009 by lokisbuddy Quote
Snopczynski Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 I think its some sort of return spring, probably keeps the lever up so it doesn't get caught on rocks or anything. Probably doesn't work real great with the shifter side. Quote
FASTOYS Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Usually seen on Motorcycles and it keeps sticks, rocks, and brush from getting between frame and brake lever and bending it out.. Quote
skinindustries Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 fastoys is right. it is to keep your brake or shifter from bending on like rocks and shit if you ask me it is a easy way to waste money Quote
2strokecook Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 these are easily made as well. had one on a lil xr 100, it was on there when i got it, but would not obther to put one on a quad, mainly bikes. Quote
R. Rollins Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 I saw these cables on a guys ATV last week. It looked goofy to me. He had them hooked onto the foot brake lever to keep him from pushing down on teh lever too hard and stripping the threads off the shaft. It is a limiter thats all. It limits the over torque of the foot brake shaft, IE billet levers that may strip out. Marketing gimic someone thought of. You would have to weigh on teh pedal pretty hard to strip it out right?
