jjn56
I was thinking about checking out Appalachia Bay ORV area at Keystone lake near Tulsa this weekend. Anyone from Oklahoma ever been there before? Should I take my paddle tires, says it has sand but not sure how much. I'll be coming from Joplin so its about a 2hr drive. Is it worth the drive? I don't have time to go all the way to Wynoka but want to get out into the

jjn56
its fun, i go there almost weekly if i can get a group together. dont bring paddle tires, theres not enough sand and theres a shitload of hard packed rockey trails. plus its on the lake so most the sand is damp or wet and you get good traction anyways. Thanks man, if I see you out there I'll give ya a shout, your quad looks pretty easy to spot.

jjn56
are there any permits or fee's to ride?
BlntdEyez
are there any permits or fee's to ride? Nope Not as far as I know. Its pretty laid back out there. You will have a blast. Another plus If you want more sand, Keystone Lake dam is about 3 miles down the road.
2slow350
I like to use some cheap sand tires when I go (sand sharks or something) so if I tare them up it doesn't matter.. Supposed to be some people down at whitefield Sunday..
