Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michagan. They are small and you can go in only one direction. Also closes down in the Winter months! After Glamis...... I would not bother. It can not touch the dunes out west. After Michagan everything else is far.

yea no dout bout that... I want to bring a few people out that didnt get to go to glamis...Gets me out of ny also... If all go's well im buying a new truck and a 18 foot v-nose trailer... So i'll pack the boys up and just go out and chill...

Only the Hills are directional.. which makes sense so people dont get killed. Yeah.. the dunes are relatively small (3,000 acres 450 for ORV use) compared to the western dunes.. but its better then nothing!

yo0o Greg I have been wondering the same thing.

Im down to plan another trip, but lets get through this one first.lol

I will be buying a new truck also, mine goes back March 1st, I have the trailer already so Im always ready for a road trip.

I heard the Michigan dunes are pretty good, But nothing will compare to Glamis, Like stated above.

But for us, anything is better than nothing.

We went to West virginia in August, It was like 1500 miles round trip, cost like 700 in gas and gas was high then.

Not bad at all.

How far away are the dunes in Michigan?

Dang I didn't realize your dunes were that small. I figured you had a few thousand acres ORV at least. I thought Killpecker was small, its only 15,000 acres of ORV and just under 40,000 acres total dunes. Plus I have to put up with a 30 minute drive north of town to get there. C'mon that is too far to drive!
