lokisbuddy Posted February 1, 2009 Report Share Posted February 1, 2009 Ok I got her home, she has a pro armor kill switch, tors removed, ground buster tires, dpk clutch (or at least thats what he says) and it smells as if he is running it on torco it needs a new chain/ top chain roller, rear end bearings and it will be good to go. do these come stock with mikuni carbs? just wondering because he said it has new carbs. but this thing is fast all i could ask for is more low end. I took it out to show a buddy and I was riding down the road and it pulls wheelies awesome I am gonna love this quad. I'll take some pics tonight. it does vibrate alot though. is this normal? Trick2stroke Posted February 1, 2009 Report Share Posted February 1, 2009 Welcome to the banshee family! You'll love the shee, there's endless mods to keep you busy with it aswell. Throw some pipes on that beast, it's a whole new animal. If you want decent low/mid the best you can do is some midrange pipes like paul turner, fmf gnarleys or something along those lines. Coupled with dual 28-33mm carbs or a single 35, more compression, stroker and porting you'll have more power everywhere with respectable low end. I am buying a set of pro circuit platies of a guy on here and i am getting a k&n filter of ebay i doubt very much if i'll port it maybe get a set of v forces and call it good, its gonna be a trail bike and i hate running out of gas. the clutch on this thing is so smooth compared to the blaster its unreal, wheelies on demand too i love it, i already got her stripped down im cleaning/tightening bolts and checking fluids took it across the lake about 5 inches of snow on the lake and its a dog in the snow, i think i need paddles. regalrocket Posted February 1, 2009 Report Share Posted February 1, 2009 If its squeeking, it probably has corrosion between the bolts and the steel bushings over them. I would pull the bolts and greese them and reinstall. If not, they will seeze together, and you will have real issues down the road. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. I tore the rear end apart and it would sem that the squeaking was actually not squeaking at all, my bike was screaming in pain as the bearings were riping themselves to shreds. Now I have to get new bearings and possibly a bearing carier I will get pics tomorrow, I am to tired right now as I have been beating on a wheel hub all night lol well post more tomorrow. IMO the V force are a waste of money without a ported motor. You can spend better money elsewhere first. Don't get me wrong, after market reeds run well, just not on a stock port. Fatties are kind of a top end pipe. Gnarley's will get you more low end than Fatties. PT mids are the shit for low end but pricey. Don't forget a timing plate, best bang for the buck next to porting. 2 Stroke Fury Posted February 3, 2009 Report Share Posted February 3, 2009 Based by alot of threads I have read, Toomey T6's "Pipes" are supposedly better for stock setups and should increase your bottom end a little bit.
