you most likely have an air leak somewhere or your throttle

could also be in a bind.

this happened to me when i put my cool head on, my cables were in a bind...... does ur throttle push in and return freely? as stated look at the slide in ur carb and make sure its not hanging.....i would deff check cables or maybe even replace cable...

I don't think a clogged jet would cause your issue. Less fuel less RPM. Slide should be all the way down. Did you pressure test the motor? It should hold 6psi for 6 minutes. My vote is are leak.

ok this is f***** up i bunshed up a bath towel up and stuck it in the air box to choke out the cerb and the stopid thing purred like a kitten you guys think it is the jets??

It really sounds like your slides aren't going all the way down. They slides are what meters the amount of airflow mixed with fuel that is pulled into the engine. The higher the slide, the greater the flow. If you put your hand over the intake of the carb you will restrict the flow and the engine would eventually die. This is what you have done with the towel, limited the amount of flow. I think you've found another air leak! You have air going into your carb when you don't want it to.

than all you guys for the help i didnt realize there are 4 slide adjustment places and you guys were all right the slide was not shuting all the way by the throtle was all the way in so it wasnt there the idle slide screw was all the way out so not there on top of the cap was all the way in so not there the 90degree bend right before the carb cap had a rubber boot that covered the 4th adjustment and it was the problem i feel like a dumb a** you guys were all right from the begining thanks for all the help   now i can take it out and kill some preaditors and 450s
