vibration in front end at speed

Recommended Posts

Hello guys. im sure this is probly not the correct spot to ask this. I have a really bad shake inthe the front end when at wot 6th gear. how the hell do you get ride of most that shake in the handle bars? Im runnung new maxxis razer front and rear with works duel rats up front. Its an 89 with the jarm set up all the joints are very tight in cluding ball joints. Tight to me is there isnt any worn play in them they feel almost new.

This thing rides straight but at speed it will shake you to death it seems like for no reason what so ever. May just be the nature of the beast but is there any way to help clear some of that up

could also be the fact that the tires on a quad dont get balanced. if you get a tire that is not made quite perfect or is not mounted perfect it will be out of balance and you will not feel it until high speed. just like in a car you can put new tires on without balancing them and feel like ur gunna crash when ur on the highway. chances are this is not ur problem but if it is you could take it to a garage to get balanced for very little money. or just dont go that fast on the street.

i had a high speed wooble in on of my bikes. as long as i rode it in dirt it was ok but when i hit the street it shaked the shit out of you. i replaced the tire. problem was still there. replaced the rim. problem was still there replaced the wheel hub. problem solved... so something in you frontend is bent. think back a try 2 remember if you hit something and start there...

You have new tires right? I'll tell you right now it's the rears. We've tried this many times with our quads, the carcass of a new tire is quite heavy and at those speeds will shake the bike. If you're able to swap rear wheels with someone you know who's are half worn you'll notice the difference. beleive it or not the shake from the rears makes it feel like it's coming from the front but it's not. I wouldn't worry about it too much and as the rears wear down the shake will subside.

Thanks for reminding me about the slim thing im willin to bet that maight be it i forgot i had thatshit added to them. there new tires and rims

The thing isnt unmanagable at end just was seeing if possable getting one of them stabalizers would help

it tracks staight i do suppose its doing a good speed though never really figured it was all that quick though

im just wondering how its going to be when i stick my 421 on it. Im only running bolt ons now. havent really decided

weather to bolt on that 421 or finish up porting this engine on it and run that cool head with it on 21 cc domes

im sure eather way it will pick up the power on it.

Oh by the way I am runnig the 2 into one set up on the carb and i love it i see a lot of difrrent opinions on here

about that set up. I guess its becouse of my riding style and places to ride. I suspect duels is really good for

dunes and a little more open areas. but thats my two cents on that one. I just really noticed a grate improvement

on bottem end. although it is very diffucult to keep jetted correctly for temp and atmosher conditions.

well fellows thanks for your imput
