ned
after being beaten to death by the stock suspension for far too long im looking at an upgrade. because at a 100kg every bump seems like a mountain lol. would i be happy with the yfz450 arms and shocks or should i just spend the extra and get this kit http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=370141819313 cheers, ned
Michael Jackson
dont get those a-arms, those are fullflights shitty ones, not even chromoly, thin shit steel , if ur gona get fullflight at least get the chromoly ones with the chromoly heims, and if you ride for a long time, hard, you might want rezzies so the shocks dont fade so quick
shogs
I'm happy with my wickeds. Make sure the guy you buy them from checks the tie rods to make sure the tap is legit because mine wouldn't thread but other than that I love them. If your shocks are almost dead nows the time to replace or revalve them.

GrMeyer
anything is better then stock. I watched ebay and got some burgards for around 200 shipped and new. as for shocks the rez's are a A+. You can get the elkas with out them for a good price and later on down the road you can always upgrade to them for you liking.

Michael Jackson
because its burgard must ream spindles with them too http://www.burgardcycle.com/ Edited January 28, 2009 by Michael Jackson
GrMeyer
they only pop up every now and then...I waited for almost a year to get my arms. just watched ebay and finally won a bid. Didnt mind reaming the spindles because you can go to the store and get the tools for it or you can take it to a shop which shouldnt cost more then about $
Michael Jackson
you dont have to order them off ebay, thats why they have a website. my local shop carries them in stock too, as far as the spindle reaming, burgard will do that for free for you if you buy their arms, u just gota pay shipping
GrMeyer
very true but when you pay 200 w/shipping for a set of arms you can fight with ebay...

ned
ok after realising that my banshee rebuild would have me asking the bank manager for more money, ive decided to cut back on some things. im thinking of getting burgard +3 +1 a-arms and YFZ450 shocks. would this be a good setup and be kind of comparable to something like a works dual rate???? cheers, ned
Michael Jackson
get some shocks that are built for you and your machine, not some generic yfz shocks
