clutch problem

There should be a little bit of slack in the lever, if you cant adjust it at the lever you will have to pull the clutch cover off and adjust it their. I run maxima, go to you local stealer shop and look at what they have just make sure its made for wet clutches. I would just drain the oil and put new in.

When you get the cover off in the center of the clutch there is a phillips head bolt with a nut on it loosen the nut and turn the phillips head bolt untill you get slack. On the arm that the clutch cable goes to their is an arrow that points to the back of the bike it should line up with another arrow on your cases.

If the lever is tight then in may not be releasing the clutch all the way, I would try this before buying a clutch. While you have it apart inspect the clutch and see how it looks. I always screw the adjuster on the lever all the in before i adjust it at the clutch so you will have all the adjustment you need at the lever. You turn it counter clockwise, the way i do it is loosen it, then screw it back in till it bottoms out, then back it off about a half a turn.

Check and see if the arrows line up on the cases and clutch pusher, if the lever is tight then you may need to pull the cover off, if you have play in it and it still slips then you may need a new clutch. Do you know what kind of oil is in it? If it has the wrong oil in it, it will cause it to slip. You may want to change it just to be safe. As far as the clutch if you end up needing it pm me and we can work something out.

It looks good, welcome to the HQ and the addiction  .

Above the sprocket on top of the cases you will see the disingagment arm its where your clutch cable goes to, their is an arrow on it pointing towards the back of the bike and an arrow on the cases pointing toward the front of the bike. Just adjust it until they line up.
