blaster2006
heya, well, i got 2 oils here, and 2 questions, i need to know if these ones work for a banshee, i bought it used from a guy who was premixing 20:1, i wanna move up to 30:1 or 32:1, so first question: can i use this oil at 30:1 or 32:1? cause i know there is many kinds, like" T and 2T etc etc, whats the diff between them? i bought only 1 bottle, and they are out of stock from the local shop i bought em from, so what to do now? here is the 2 stroke motor oil: now for this, tranny oil its SAE 10W-30, synthetic, is this for a banshee ( i used to have it for my blaster), if so, how much ml is recommeded to put in? 98_shee
Read on the bottle and see what it says for premix, I use Caster 927 and never had any problems out of it. As far as the tranny oil you need to make sure its designed for wet cluthes. I run maxima in the tranny.

SpecialEd 05
Best tranny oil IMO is Belray Gearsaver 85w and that's all I've ever run. Gear box takes 1500ml from empty. That 2-stroke oil you've got there has a picture of an outboard motor on it so that means it's a marine oil and I'm not too sure what you can mix that down to. I would recommend Amsoil Intercepter mixed at 40:1, hasn't let me down.
BellicoseBanshee
An 80 or 85 weight gear oil is a much better choice than 10W-30, and as far as the premix, I have never used Yamalube of any kind. For some reason I think TC-W3 has something to do with outboard boat engines.

The banshee manual says 10W-30 as well, but an 80 or 85 weight gear oil is just a better choice. 10W-30 will work if you choose to use it (as long as it is wet clutch approved). You also need to watch out for the motor oils with anti-friction additives, for the clutch will slip when those kinds are used. I am sure if you find an oil that is wet clutch approved, you will not have any issues with anti-friction additives. Just read the bottle carefully... The oil capacity is 1500 milliliters. You will need approximately 1.5 quarts of oil.
SpecialEd 05
If you drain the transmission completely then use 1500ml of 85w gear oil to refill it. If you're topping it up then just add the oil until it's at the top line of the dipstick. Being that you don't know what's in the transmission at the moment, I recommend changing the gear oil completely.
elwilliams13
The yamalube you got there is used for outboards and your blaster if you had the injection system hooked up. The main diffrence is the parrafin content the 2s has to be thinner to run through the injector system. You can run it premixed but the yamalube 2r is designed as a premix and is a heavier oil try and get some of that if you can. There are a gazillion oils out there for premix applications do a search. Hoped this helps.

Snopczynski
I think that premix pictured is for 2 stroke outboards. I wouldn't run it in a banshee. I actually would not use either one. I am a formulated 2 stroke oil fan. Whether it be cylinders or transmission.
rtcc
Dude, just use ATF Type F in your tranny. It is dirt cheap and works awesome. You can get it anywhere, walmart etc. if not that then use a really nice oil like the belrays gear saver, but not regular motor oil you put in your car. RollinRhino
Avoid Yamalube for extreme cold weather, other than that I love it.
Michael Jackson
the only yamalube ive ever seen or used is the 2-R , i ran that for a bit before switching to supertechniplate just use 1.7 liters of atf type F its cheap as dirt, change it often and u can get it anywhere if your gona run motor oil ive been told to make sure it doesnt have "friction modifiers" because they will glaze your clutch plates and make it slip
