csrmel
I made a drag/ trail bike. I went with cpi's, agressive dune port, pwk 35's, fzr1000 clutch, wheelie bar, stock swinger, 4 mil long rod crank. american racer sd35's on blue labels. no override, no lockup. it's pretty bad ass at the drag strip, yet has enough midrange to be fun on trails too, even technical ones. Sounds like I'll be going the same route. Thanks all.
fastrthnu
Sounds like I'll be going the same route. Thanks all. dude just fix your shit and build a separate drag bike frame up you can take your time on and still have a badass play quad. then you wont be down long either. If your goin to build a drag bike, you might as well make it a DRAG BIKE rather than a fast somewhat trail/somewhat drag. Make a rocket. okbeast
Sounds like I'll be going the same route. Thanks all. I would recommend a lock-up too. Alot (most) people will tell you it will be hard to shift with a lockup and no override but I don't believe this because of my 1st hand experience. I have a 4mil cub and dune/drag it. Got a +6 arm, which is still great in the trails or sand with some v-paddles. It's almost a handful with the +6 in the sand and with 10 paddles but definitely rideable, and I can still hand out some losing cards on the strip. If you plan on drag racing, get an override. You simply can not pull a clutch and shift gears as quickly as you just click up to shift, it's physically impossible. Dunable overrides are damn near bullet proof...ask anyone that has used an override that either play drag races or drag races all the time, once you go override you will NEVER go back to a normal shifting bike.... I ruins all other bikes you drive after...promise.

njbanshee
I spent thousands of dollars before i finally made it an all out drag bike. I only did this when i got my girl a 400 ex. That way i could still go riding anywhere. You will spend a small fortune unless you decide what you want. Good luck.
