mun2frio
I just started putting my bike back togheter and want to change the set of Pro Circuit cause there's no chrome on them anymore and I was looking at the DMC ALIEN and I just want to know if any one has this set up and how good they are. It's all stock except for reed spacers, boost botle, 290 mains, 27.5 pilots and needle clip in the middle and my riding is 70% trails and 30% dunes. Fireroad Express
DMC's are a fairly popular exhaust and have been discussed on here quite a bit. i got a set on my shee and have nothing bad to say about them. they sound good too. pro circuits are also a very good pipe. i think they have a bit more mid range and top end than the DMC's. the DMC seems to have more bottom than the ProC's. i'd probably pick the DMC for trail riding. I think it might be the opposite. DMC's tend to be a more top end pipe that strike the most in the powerband IMO. For me it doesnt make a difference where it has the most power. They are a good all around pipe and I ride 100% trails and have a set and there are no problems. The more airflow you put through the bike the better these pipes will work and the more it will wake up on the powerband.
LS1Inferno
well if you that much trail get some FMF fatties. they work awesome on the trail. Also ditch the boost bottle and get a timing plate and bump it up to +4 you will be much happier in the trail with the FMF's then either the DMC's or the PC's. they dot have that top end arm ripping flying up a dune but it will pull the gears at a much lower rpm. Pro circuits dont come with chrome, they come nickel coated. Were these chromed after market? Pro circuit is a low-mid pipe. The dmc's and fmf fatties are a mid-top pipe. If you run a set of fmf pipes you want the gnarleys. I would personally stick with the pc's and have them ceramic coated or re-nickled. PC's actually have a lower redline rpm than fatties and dmc's. They even have a lower redline rpm than a dynoport 2 into 1 pipe.
