sheerider1026 Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 just had a question for you duners.. how long do paddle tires last in sand?? i would think for a long time.. just curious on how long they last.. its easy to go through a set of tires on dirt.. Quote
rubberneck Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 If you only ride sand, and dont have to hit any hard surfaces to get to the dunes, they last forever. I have a set of skat trak haulers on one of my trikes that i bought in 1989. They still have pretty good tread (paddles probably 75-80%) but they just wont hold air anymore lately. Not bad for 20 years old. Quote

I camp 1 mile down a gravel road from the dunes and I go threw a set each season or so but some of the guys in the group have near stockbanshee's last much longer even with the gravel road. Quote
donkeypuncher Posted January 16, 2009 Report Posted January 16, 2009 ive had the same paddles for like 6 years now. plenty of tread left. id say atleast 85%-90%. tires hardly see gravel or pavement though. Quote
Snopczynski Posted January 16, 2009 Report Posted January 16, 2009 Had my current set 3 years. We see some asphalt and gravel going in and out of the parking lots at the oregon dunes. My paddles are still like new, and they are even super lights. Quote

I'm a cheap ass and I shop around alot. Quote
