jamebo
I recently installed a billet stator cover, and I keep having a particular stainless allen bolt vibrate out and get lost. I lost it the other day when riding and replaced it with a new one, went riding today and noticed that one's gone now too. Went to Wal-mart looking for lock-tight, but all they had was Permatex threadlocker. So I got a bottle of it. It's the blue label medium strength. Will this stuff work good for this application without super glueing the bolts in?

jamebo
I appreciate the help guys, hopefully this stuff will solve my missing bolt problem!
dajogejr
I use the blue on a lot of stuff on mine, especially threading into aluminium. I got lucky and caught half of my intake bolts working their way loose a while back, been using the blue on most stuff ever since. Just put enough on for the first few threads...you'll be fine. LS1Inferno
i wont put a banshee together without blue threadlocker. i HATE shit coming loose. And the red stuff i only use that on suspension bolts and things on cars. and only ones i can get to with and impact.

AKheathen
Sounds like this stuff is definitely the way to go, then. Thanks alot, guys! the blue is the best for vibration resistance, and is repositionable
BansheeRider71
When I was putting all of the mods on my Shee I used permatex, red for the Cool-head studs that go into the cylinders, and blue for a few things here and there, I havnt had any problems with it. Never, ever put loctite on the head studs. RTV to seal them is fine, good luck getting those out should the need arise.
