Snopczynski
Pulled out my best friends 4 mill after it locked up on the flats doing jetting runs in november. The magnet came out of one of those wiz bang drain plugs and grenaded his tranny. So if your running one, put the stocker back in while you still have time. jamebo
Same here, I'd been thinking the same thing about getting one. That's off the list now, for sure!
RIPPEN
I have ran one for several years with no problem and this is the first I have ever heard of such a thing. So the magnet is held on by adheasive? If thats the case and the adheasive did fail how does it get pulled from the metal drain plug? rtcc
what brand was it? I think they are made differently with different companies.
Snopczynski
Well, he has had two different ones and both have been made the same. Aluminum bolt, with magnet stuck in the center. First one stripped out because it was made of aluminum. The secone one had the magnet fall out now. Those fiber washers they send with the drainplug are bullshit too. boneyardbanshee.
Does he happen to know what company he got them from? Mine isnt Alum. I have not had a problem, yet. That is kinda scary though. I would hate to remove it because it does catch alot of shavings from my clutch plates. That was before I got a new basket though. Damn now you got me all worried
dragbanshee
Never really thought much of them anyway, Thanks for the heads up though.
