AKheathen Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 imo, you can run up to 21cc's +4, on 93 octane no prob. so you're perfectly safe  just make sure you're not lean. (stock jetting @ 25 pilot & 200 main) Quote

Snopczynski Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Have you ever changed out the base gaskets on the cylinders or anything? Quote
BklynLOD Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Have you ever changed out the base gaskets on the cylinders or anything? I have the same setup, 22cc domes, +4 timing and cant get why I'm running 165 - 170 compression. Tested it with like 5 different compression testers and got between 165 and 170 between all of them. I have to run race gas. The weird thing is I ran 93 on it before I realized my compression was so hi and didn't blow the engine. While testeing we remove spark plug. Open the throttle wide opne and kick about 15 times. Quote
dragbanshee Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Have you ever changed out the base gaskets on the cylinders or anything? I would go with the 21cc domes, your safe with 93 oct. Quote

sleeper06 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Does sound like 20cc domes to me ill have to take off his domes and cc them, bone stock port , i can easily lose the compression with a port job to bring himm aruond 140-145 range on those domes and who knows if those domes were cut for someone for a purpose, i never pulled jugs off bike either so who knows, stumped me and a few other people Quote
Snopczynski Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 22cc domes should be 130 psi compression, which you can run with 89 octane. Quote
Thewhite Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 (edited) 22cc domes should be 130 psi compression, which you can run with 89 octane. I ran all summer long with 94 octane, 20cc dome and +4 timing just over the sea elevation (Montreal area, Canada) and my top end was like a brand new with 158-160 psi For the winter, I run 91 octane, 21cc dome and +4 timing (the 94 octane is hard to find) Edited January 13, 2009 by Thewhite Quote
