278
Im sure you all have heard about the new YFZ 450R that's suppose to be race ready, however it's 55 pounds heavier and $700 more expensive. THe only good thing I can see on it is the EFI, it only has about 1/2 an inch more in suspension travel than the regular YFZ and it's 2 1/2 inches wider so why would you spend 700 more and have a 50 pound weight deficit for very little if any more performance... Can someone share if theres something Im not seeing

AKheathen
don't forget the new shocks  i think they'll have to try harder next year to compete with the new ktm, imo
2001Stroker
Well......EFI, 2-1/2" wider, and 1/2" more travel is well worth $700 in my opinion. That sucks that it's heavier though. How much heavier? I wonder how many people are gonna use those arms on a Banshee, to get +5" a-arms. Probably be sick handling for a lowered flattrack bike. high octane junkie
the listed weight for the carbureted yfz450 is a DRY WEIGHT. the listed weight for the fuel injected yfz450r is WET WEIGHT. a wet carbureted yfz450 is over 400 lbs. also, the new fuel injected yfz450r utilizes a better head design, similar to the one that is on the raptor 700r, which is pretty much the new banshee of the future.
