HMP is a 1/8 mile drag racing track. This race being 1/8 mile is perfect for all the atv asphalt drag racers. The track website did not say anything about pre-registration yet. Lots of money to be won at this event. Money is paid out in several different races. Not just one winner take all. Lets get some atv at this event  !!! Anyone interested ? All racing together. This is put on by Rich Christenson. The creator of Pinks, Pinks All Out, Pass Time and all that stuff you see on the Speed Channel. Arm Drop Live is his down time project. When they are not filming the other shows.
duecebanshees
Friday was rained out. So most of the event was on Saturday it rained off and on the whole day. The car classes had to try and finish on Sunday. Motorcycles did not run with cars at this event. There were about 30-35 bikes in the class. Including me being the ONLY atv. I chose not to spray it and run a conservative tune-up. Thinking that being consistant was the way to go. And seeing as the event would be hot lapping. I wanted to be sure not to melt it down. Unfortunately I made the wrong choice. My little gas motor only ran 6.51@101 in the 1/8. To slow to make the class. The class they announced after the time trial passes were made. Was a 5.80-6.00 class. They picked the closest 8 ET bikes out of the 30-35 bikes. The class was made up of turbo and nitrous hayabusas and ZX-14's with a couple 1000's. Next time I will turn the bottle on and let it fly. It was still a cool event to go check out. The rain made for quite a bit of down time. I still had a great time. Got to check out several of the street guys bikes in the pits. And talked with a few too. The next two Texas Arm Drop Events are at Kennadale 1/8 mile. Thats just south of Fort Worth. I think their website is www.texasraceway.com
