After weeks of bitchin and moaning, I finally got a Banshee... Yes indeed, I am now the proud owner of a 2002 Yamaha Banshee! Don't really know too much about em except what everyone else posts but here we go...

My question to you guys is: What should I do to mod my Shee without straying too far off from stock?

All I really know at this point is that it 02 Shee and has FMF Silencers, and Stock Pipes with TORS unplugged "Not fully Removed". Won't know too much till the morning but I'm looking for a reliable trail beater. I want to change the pipes alltogether, maybe a different flywheel... Don't know too much at all. I don't want to put and special cranks or anything because most people end up needing their bottom ends re-done too. I'd rather do the topend a few times than the bottom...

Everyones opinion is going to be a little different and it's going to depend on your type of riding, I'd say the most suggested mods that I see everyone make are pipes I suggest Toomey T-5's, Porting, a cool head, adjustable timing plate at +4, some sort of reed mods either V-Force 3's or what I suggest is porting the stock reed cages and putting on boyesen dual stage reeds it is alot cheaper that VF3's and makes more power, some pod filters or remove air box lid, completely remove T.O.R.S.

full exhaust and maybe a timing plate will help wake her up. maybe some fmf fatties or pro circuit good for trails..and of course rejet the carbs. all years shee pretty much the same

Shee is already bad... Haha, well not exactly. Coming from a 440ex and a CR250R, it seems really fast but I know there are faster ones out there! It boggs a little but thats probably cause its 25 Degrees out and the Airbox Lid is Missing!!! Haha... Re- What? Haha, Noobies gotta learn now...

Nah, Seriously -Thanks for any suggestions/Comments...

Pipes/silencers and rejet first, then timing plate mod, then pod filters and tors removed and sync carbs, then F.A.S.T. head, then V force reeds, gear down if needed. This will make it a TOTALLY different bike!!! After all this New is worn off and you need more.......Port it and carbs. Most of all enjoy!

Sounds Sweet! Thanks for the info... I'll do some searchin on this site for some specific info as in what POD Filters people reccomend even if its preference. I was thinking of going to the V Force 3 Reed System. Just need to learn how to jet! Haha...
