278
Im assuming your shee is stock right now? In that case get the pipes, K&N, and paddles... Then get some porting done, while its apart some wiseco pro-lites and a cool head. Once all that is done port your stock reed cages and put some boyesen dual stage carbon petals on them, and get an adjustable timing plate and start with +4 advance, get the jetting dialed in... that should really wake her up. KaosBanshee44
Well first off how much money or extra cash are you gonna have after you do this? That's if it is a stock bike.

Yes myt shee is stock right now. next month i was plannig on doing the porting, and the other stuff u mentioned. pisotns and a coold head sound nice to put in my baby, porting cost like 500 at F.A.S.T but i live to far away for them to do it. Does nay one know anyboyd in KY who does good porting jobs and what the prices are. After my first three things i wont have cash till next month. but i will probably have around 900 dolalrs to spend next month. if that. If you think i should do somehting else first then i will take your advice and think about it. i dont think im gonna do the paddle tires right now. i wont be going to the dunes for a while. Paddleboy
well first off what kinda riding are you going to be building for? mostly dunes, trails, drag, maybe a little of all? this matters alot because if you want to spend that kinda of money on shears for dunes and trails it is a waste. As Paddleboy said you really should figure out what type of riding because that will determine your pipe set up and port job, 500? I think it's only 450 for a drag port, but it sounds like your doing to be riding dunes, which you will probably want a dune port for it's only 350. Jeff isn't the only good builder htere are lots of good ones and everyone has there personal favorite mine happens to be Brandon at Wildcard Racing (Slobanshee06) but call around and see which one your most comfortable with. AKheathen
well first off what kinda riding are you going to be building for? mostly dunes, trails, drag, maybe a little of all? this matters alot because if you want to spend that kinda of money on shears for dunes and trails it is a waste. ditto. imo making a jump from stock to high end drag pipes is wasting money, and useable power, without the engine work to compliment. i would first do a set of chariot reed cages, +4 timing, k&n filter, jet kit, tires, and shocks. do some research on all different kind of pipes and carbs, and buy those next month. then save up for the engine work and do your homework. in the end you are the only one who really knows what kind of power you want, and once you know what the different setups, ie. porting, will produce then you can ask for what you want, not just what sounds cool. so what kind of ridding do you do? brokenstillridin
I had all my goals set on drag racing. but today i got to ride my friends drag banshee. i didnt like it as much as i would have thought. super fast but not trail ridible. i want something really fast but i can still ride trails and ride at the dunes. Mainly i race in my fields. i got over 400 acres. so im changing my setup now. what should i buy first if i want to trail ride and be really fast. Wildcardracing
It is all going to depend on how tight the trails you ride are. If they are fast open trails then a mild dune port matched to some t-5's or CPI's would work out fine. If you are riding tighter trails then I would lean more towards an aggressive trail port and a midrange or low-mid pipe such as pro-circuits or fmf fatties. As far as your engine mods go, don't be affraid to ship your cylinders out to have them ported. Chances are you will get a better product than locally in many areas. There are a lot of good builders out there, get a few recommendations and make some calls to decide who you feel the most comfortable with. That's why I like Brandon he never tries to sell you anything you don't need and never tries to say you should pick me he says find out who you're comfortable with, and he will always help you even if you don't buy or use is services/products. IMO I'd go with Brandon, but as he said call around and see who you are the most comfortable with and who just wants to help you not force you to buy anything
